Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, 2010.

So much to catch up on, and so little time.  Eli is currently in bed, whining that he wants his Mommy.  I’ll try to ignore so that he and I can both have a rest 😉

Christmas Eve was nothing sort of awesome.  Of course!  Dad and I really go all out to spoil our children for Christmas, but I think we get the most of fun of it all.  We get to watch their eyes light up in delight.

Ok…need a break, Eli really needs me.  Ok, I’m back, now with a baby on my chest 😉  We work well this way.

So Christmas Eve, preparing for the BIG MAN’s day and what do we do?  Cook and go to church.  Hehehe.  Christmas Eve is usually pretty low-key for us because on Christmas Day we run around crazy.  Although, next year, I think we’re changing that to Eve instead of Day 😉  Anyways….

I made all the food I could prepare a day ahead on Christmas Eve.  Christmas morning, Grandma, Popi, GG, Aunt Bunny, and Uncle Bill all come over to watch our boys open their gifts.  I make a HUGE Christmas breakfast so we can all have full tummies while we sit and watch the 2 hours of opening gifts, one by one.  Then, we had to rush off to church at 3pm as Ashton was in the Christmas pageant and needed to be there ONE HOUR EARLY!  Eek.  On Christmas Eve?  Yup.  And trust me when I say, our Priest wasn’t kidding…it was getting crowded, and it was crowded quick!  I’ve never really noticed this as we are usually in the regular church and this time we were in the tent.  Either way, Ashton played Joseph….an I think he’s the cutest Joseph, EVER!

When  we arrived home it was dinner time and time to get ready for bed.  Showers and leaving out Rudolph’s food and Santa’s sugary sweets 🙂

of course Eli was there…just snuggled up with me 😉

Then the boys climbed up onto Dad and watched a Christmas movie/show….can’t remember.  And I took the cutest photo of them, but since Dad doesn’t want his picture plastered on the internet, I’ll refrain from showing it 😦  It’s super cute.  Oh well.

In the morning we woke up to THIS!!!!

I’m pretty sure our boys were happy…ok, probably just for the day, but heck, it was worth it.

Eli was happy his GG was here to celebrate with him…

Then Mommy will sneak in a snuggle or two from my favorite little people 😉

Ethan threw his arms around his big brother when Ashton made him a beautiful card for Christmas 😉

Eli had a great day…

Aunt Bunny & Uncle Bill bought the 3 big boy cousins this super cute chairs.  Every night our boys watch Toy Story 3 in them…yes, EVERY NIGHT.

And Ethan got a super cool interactive motorcycle from Grandma, Popi, and GG!!

I’d say we had a pretty awesome Christmas.  New Year’s Eve wasn’t much fun as I decided to work for the catering company that I work for from time to time.  Although it was an easy night…we didn’t all stay up and watch the ball fall.  However, I was home in time to see it fall all by myself.  The boys wouldn’t wake up and Daddy didn’t even know I was there, despite the kiss and HAPPY NEW YEAR I screamed in his ear.

Hollywood Studios….2010.

Fun times.  Mom and Dad would love to believe we are pretty fun parents for our children.  Sometimes, if you ask them, they will not agree.  Especially while Mommy is yelling, “Clean up this mess.  It’s a disaster in here!”  Disaster being a common used word out of the 5 year olds mouth.  Thank you very much.  I’ve taught him well 😉

Being that we’re so cool and all, we decided to take all 3 boys to Hollywood Studios for the day.  We were instructed to arrive and head straight to Toy Story for a Fast Pass.  Good thing we took our friends Kelli & Steve’s advice.  We didn’t get passes till 3pm!  But when we did arrive at 3pm, the line was 100mins long!  HOLY COW BATMAN!  There isn’t a single ride in the universe I want to ride that badly.  Nope.  Not at all.

Toy Story was awesome.  Especially to the 2 little people in this house whom are TS3 OBSESSED!  Ethan is screaming Woody…Woody!!!  Ashton screaming, BUZZ…BUZZ!  Oh my, I seriously think that Woody and Buzz could be the next Santa Claus to my 2 kids.  LOL.  Just before we went on the ride we were blessed with ultra fabulous seats at the TS Parade.  We were next to Mr. Potato Head and Lotso.  This parade ROCKED!!!

As you can see, the day was filled with fantastic memories.  Mom and Dad didn’t come home bald and we are looking forward to doing it again…maybe when Eli isn’t attached to my chest.

Terrific Kid…who? ASHTON!

Yup, you read that correct.  And this isn’t the first time he’s been awarded this award, this is his 3rd time!  Last year he earned it once and this year, in fact, last month he received it for Spanish (we think?) and this month he received it for in the classroom.  WAY TO GO!!!

Ashton didn’t know.  Instead of him getting a big head, we decided to keep it quiet.  We went about getting ready for school as we always do.  Only Daddy didn’t rush off to work.  Instead, he helped me load the car and then he got into his car and drove off.  Ashton didn’t think anything of this, as it happens from time to time.

But, when we parked in our spot at school and Ethan shouted, “Daddy!”  Ashton was a bit confused.  “Why is Daddy here?  Why are we all going into my classroom,” he asked.  We didn’t tell him.  We proceeded into the classroom where Ms. Deanna said, “Ashton, you’re my Terrific Kid!”  And he smiled from ear to ear 😉

Garrett earned Terrific Kid for the EC 3/4 Class (Ms. Deanna’s son…doesn’t he look excited?  He’s missing his Mommy!)

As always, Ethan is stoked for his big brother.  They are BESTIES!!!

Ashton turns 5 years old!

My first-born is 5 years old.  How did that happen?  I’ll tell ya, QUICKLY!

This weekend was pure chaos.  Fun chaos, but insane.  Friday, after taking Ashton to school, Ethan, Eli, and I ran to the gym where I took another spin class and sweated my booty off.  At 9am I left running to Publix.  A big shopping trip was planned.  Next up, was Target.  I had to pick up Ashton’s birthday cakes…

and

Super cute, huh?  A mummy, eyeball, tombstone, and Frankenstein 😉  Loved them.  Ashton seen them in the Target ad last week and changed his mind from wanting me to make him a bowling ball and pin to these super cute cakes.  I couldn’t say no, they were only $5 EACH!  Terrific deal if you ask me 😉

So after Target we ran home, unloaded the groceries and ran to pick up Ashton at school.  Next up we had an appointment for an oil change.  Thankfully, I brought my laptop and after an hour of playing with the dirty toys at the dealership the boys sat down and watched The Great Pumpkin, Charile Brown.  Such a classic 🙂

When we got home, I started making dinner and moments later Daddy and Grandpa Joe arrived.  Look at how much fun the boys had with Grandpa Joe….

And after Ashton opened up his new remote control jeep, from Grandpa Joe, this is what he did…

Next, Daddy carved our pumpkin, scary Larry #2.  This isn’t the best photo.  For some reason, I have NO photography skills 😦

The next day was ASHTON’s BIRTHDAY!

First up, BASEBALL!

And Grandpa Joe holding Eli for the first time…

Next was home for super quick showers and then to the BOWLING PARTY!  Not before Mommy insisted we have a photo shoot outside 😉

And Mommy wanted one with her birthday boy, but Mr. Jealous squeezed himself in 😉

and

Most of the pictures taken at the bowling alley aren’t worth posting.  They are just a bunch of candid shots of the kids running around like crazies.  Ashton did enjoy himself 3 pieces of pizza and here is one of him stuffing his face.

Ethan liked it just the same…yes, he ate 3 pieces as well.

Look at these two little devils scooping out the cakes….

“Mom, can my friends hurry up and sing to me so I can eat this cake?”

And Ashton had 3 pieces of cake.  He tried to get one of each, but after that, I said ENOUGH!  LOL.

Next we came home to open presents.  Uncle Joey, Aunt Dana, Howie, and Grandpa Joe were all with us in the mass chaos of present opening.  All in all, it was fun, and we have a house full of zhu zhu pets.  I know you’re jealous, aren’t you?  LOL.

Mommy and Daddy decided on the Leapster Explorer for our sweet little boy, and it was by far, the right decision 😉

The birthday boy had a GREAT day, with lots of amazing gifts.  Thank you to all our friends and family for sharing our special day with our son!  You made it perfect!!!

Ethan especially loved Grandpa Joe…he let’s him do things Mom wouldn’t dare…

Howie also finds Grandpa Joe, pretty cool.

And lastly, I had Aunt Dana take this picture, because lets face it, there isn’t anything more cute than baby heiny 😉

Quick update on Grandpa Joe.  He looked good.  Seemed to be in good spirits.  Doesn’t seem ill from chemo and had a blast with all the kids.  I’ve decided that I will make it a priority to see him as often as time permits.  The boys really enjoy his company, and I would love for them to have more QT with him before he can’t enjoy the kids.  Joey is going to pick him up on Thanksgiving and I’m going to bring him home, this way he is able to celebrate with us.  This is our first year not celebrating with my parents, but thankfully, they are very understanding, and it’s just something I feel like I need to do.

Dad did go in for more chemo on Tuesday.  I spoke to him that afternoon and he was still a bit tired.  I tried to call him yesterday but didn’t get him.  I’ll try again today.  He sure is lucky to have Rusti in his life, taking good care of him.

Lots of UPDATES!

First off, Kilo is still with us.  After talking to a good friend, she convinced me that unless he is in pain than the best place for him is with us.  And I think she’s right.  He has yet to have another accident but he has been sleeping in the crate.  However, I’m letting him sleep with me tonight because I fear the worst is around the corner.  Why?  Well just this week, Kilo went from being able to jump on the couch to his spot, to not being able to jump at all.

His belly is about 2x the size it used to be, and if I had to guess, he’s either pregnant or growing a tumor in there 😦  I’m pretty sure boy dogs don’t get pregnant so it must be the latter…sniff.  I’m also pretty certain he can’t see very far or at all during the evening.  The Vet did tell me that his vision was becoming very cloudy and he does not like to go outside at all.  Especially at night.  He hides in the corner.  So not like him.

I refuse to take him to the vet for x-rays and such when we have already spoken to the vet and she told me that it’s only a matter of time.  Of course, we want him comfortable, and so far, he does not show any signs of being uncomfortable.  In fact, I just gave him a nice steak.  Why?  Again, he deserves it.  Putting up with me for 12 years, is enough in itself.  He was always there to lick the tears away, and now one day they will fall, and he won’t be there to help me smile.  Ashton and Ethan have been extra kind to Kilo this week, making sure to kiss him daily.

Eli is now 8wks.  Seriously.  This is the fastest 8wks EVER!  Last night I tried my very best to help sleep train him, but he just could not go back to sleep without a full belly.  After an hour an a half of giving him his binkie, I finally said to Dad, “Feed him.”  And then he went back to sleep for another 4 hours.  Thankfully, his wake ups only last 20min from start to finish, but I’m pretty certain he does NOT need to eat in the middle of the night anymore.  I’ll try again tonight, but I’m not holding my breath.

So Eli…he is now smiling at you when you do something cute or funny.  He is very alert, with some of the biggest eyes I’ve ever seen.

He is still quite content resting in your arms or in his crib.  Should you put him down when it’s not nap time, you can almost bet he will be crying in 10mins flat.  Maybe it has to do with the fact that I love holding him?  Yeah, probably.  I think I’ve spoiled him.  But didn’t I read somewhere that it’s impossible to spoil a baby?  Yeah, they need that love 😉  And being my last baby, I’m all about it.  Shoot, who am I kidding?  I’ve spoiled them all!

Eli still hates the car and will cry the entire time you insist on driving him anywhere.  Last week we were in the car for 2 1/2 hours stuck in the worst traffic accident EVER, and he cried the whole time.  However, he slept the entire night!  So it was a small plus in my book.  Too bad he forgot to tell Mommy he was going to be fine sleeping all night.  Instead, I sat there starring at the clock and the monitor making sure he was still breathing.

Next up is Ethan.  Poor Ethan.  He will be having his adenoids and tonsils removed on November 19th.  It’s a 15min procedure and will come home that evening.  I sure hope he is a brave little boy because Mommy’s heart will hurt.  You would never guess that my little “Casper” had such swollen adenoids and tonsils…just see for yourself.

This was taken at Trunk or Treat at Ashton’s school.  Ethan was a ghost…but he looked like Casper in the end.  He is so sweet with that little smile.  All he wanted for 2 hours was PIZZA.  When I finally told him we were going to get chocolate, he was on a mission to learn how to say “Trick or Treat.”  Poor kid, Mommy didn’t let him have but ONE piece…and that was before we arrived.  HA.

Ashton was a skeleton.  A super cute one too.

The main part of Ashton’s costume is under his shirt.  It’s a skeleton head that lights up.  UGH.  He was rather disappointed that it was so bright outside.  Hopefully on Halloween, we’ll get a better picture.

The only photo I took of Eli was when Ms. Becky was holding him and everyone thought he was her baby.  She’s one hot Mama 😉

And when the kids were pooped out, they had pizza.  Finally.

And lastly, Ashton hit the ball to get the winning RBI at last weeks game!  YEAH AT!

So I took him on a Mommy date (Ethan was at Grandma’s and Dad was on a mancation…Eli came with us) to KOBE with Aunt Dana & Howie.

And finally, the BEST news ever…..Uncle Joey & Aunt Dana are having a baby GIRL!!!

Let the fun begin.  I plan on spoiling her to pieces!

Ashton’s first Angels game…and DISNEY!

What an action packed weekend.

Saturday morning we woke up at 7am and got everyone ready for Ashton’s first baseball game.  AT needed to be at the field by 9:30am and the game was to start at 10am.  It started on time, but the end time dragged on and on and on.  Wow.  Was it a LONG game.  The kids kept tying the other team.  First at 17-17 then at 21-21, finally we lost at 23-26.  The game ended up being 2 1/2 hours long!  But Ashton went strong the entire time, not complaining once.  The best part?  Ashton’s favorite people were there, minus a few others 😉  Popi, Grandma R. and Papa R. were all there to cheer him on.  Not to mention, his whole family.  His brothers loved watching him…ok, so I lie.  Ethan ran around like a crazy boy the entire time while Eli sweated his booty off in the sling I wore him in.  But hey, we were all there.  And we were so proud of our biggest brother!

Here is few action shots of the big day…

“Hit that ball into a TOUCHDOWN!!!”

(YES, people, I do know enough about baseball that there are NO touchdowns.  But if you know Ashton, and if you remember his LOVE for Chicken Little, he used to quote CL saying this all the time.  Over and over.  Now, I can’t say that I’ve ever watched the whole movie to know if CL was playing baseball when he said this or not, but I can tell you that, Ashton LOVES to say it while hitting balls with Daddy.  So during the game, it took EVERYTHING in my being, to not yell out, “Hey PEANUT….hit that ball into a touchdown!”  hehehe)

Then after the LONG game, we came home and hurried up and showered, and Ashton and I hit the road to head to EPCOT.  He didn’t know.  But he did know that he was going on a date with just his Mommy.  That’s what we like to call our alone time.  It’s pretty valuable these days, and even more so, few and far between.  But that’s what makes it special.  Ashton held my hand and gave me tons of kisses.  He even asked for ice cream at the end of the day and said that I didn’t need to buy my own because, “I will share with you.  That’s what you do on dates!”  Yes, Ashton, you are right, and I hope you’ll always share with Mommy 😉

Here we are going on TEST TRACK in Epcot.

And after a LONG day on Saturday, Mommy was still crazy enough to take our date for one more adventure on Sunday and head to the Magic Kingdom.  Only this time, we brought our friends Heather and Wyatt.

Look out Disney goers, Wyatt has a DRIVERS LICENSE, that Mommy lost and I’m pretty certain Wyatt reminded us for 20minutes that it was on ‘purpose-accident!’  By now, I’m sure his ultra cool Mommy made him a new one  🙂

Our little boys wanted their faces painted.  Wyatt is a dragon and Ashton is a Pirate.

And just as we are about to leave, we get our first group shot….hey, at least we got one.

The kids were great.  The girls got to chat.  Ok, I probably talked Heather’s ears off, but she knows me well enough by now, that’s just what I do 🙂

A baseball kinda week….and more….

Ashton is officially on a Little League team!  The Angels.  He says he’s on the Angels for his Angel brother, Quinn.  I think it’s cute, so I’m rolling with it.  Now to find him an Angels shirt 🙂

This is pretty cute to watch.  But most of all, it makes a Mama and Daddy proud!  I’m pretty certain, besides the days that I gave birth, this was Daddy’s next favorite day thus far.  Ok, hopefully our wedding day and the day he met me is at the top of the list as well, but you know what I’m sayin’ 😉 So when we got home from practice at 8pm the first night, I noticed my husband was eating pizza.  I said, “Gesh, didn’t you eat pizza for breakfast and lunch?”  His words were, “Today has been the best day, pizza for all meals and my son played BASEBALL.  The only thing that would make it better would be a beer, but it’s Monday.”  LOL.  I told him to go for it, but he didn’t.  HA!

It’s very cute to watch how excited Daddy is about his little boy playing ball.  But it’s even more exciting when Ashton turns around and says, “Hey Mom, are you proud of me?”  Yes, son, yes I am.  I’m always proud of you, you don’t need to play baseball for me to be proud.  Remember that, ok?  But if baseball makes you happy, then it makes me happy.  I foresee many, many, many nights, late, at the field.  I can see countless amount of games, bug bites, sweaty kids, empty water bottles, dinners in the car on the way to and from the field, and most of all, smiles on those faces.  I can tell you, life with boys will be fun.  Never a dull moment.  This is a journey I cannot wait to ride 😉

Ashton’s back is towards the camera.  The coach is throwing to him for the first time ever.  Sure, this is nothing exciting to many of you out there, but this makes me smile.  And because it makes me smile, I feel compelled to share it with you.

Next up for the week, the dreaded phone call.  A phone call that my Dad is in the hospital.  Please, say your prayers and I’ll post more when I know more.  All I can do right now is pray that it’s not as bad as what it seems.  For those of you who know me, it’s my real Dad (Grandpa Joe), not Mike.  Thanks for the prayers 😉

11 days old…time is flying by…

Wow.  What a FANTASTIC, almost, 2 weeks of my life!!!!  I love it.  Busy, is an understatement.  Period.

Thursday, just 6 days out of womb, I took Eli to his very first visit to Target.  It was so nice to be out of this house.  I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in the house this long with any of my children.  But the more you have, the more difficult it becomes to get out.  Friday, Daddy had to return to work.  I was nervous, just a little.  Mainly on how tired I’d be, but I was good, I spoiled myself with Starbucks.  Starbucks takes care of all tiredness 😉

This is how Eli sleeps.  Wrapped super tight.

Daddy brought Ashton to school in the morning and I had pickup duty.  No biggy really.  And, in fact, that helps tremendously!  Taking the 3 boys out of the car for a mere matter of minutes, kinda sucks.  After school, we hit Aunt Bunny’s house.  She didn’t really have much time with Eli yet, and I needed to pick something up at her house.  So the boys played with Uncle Bill for about 2 hours while Eli had some snuggle time with Aunt Bunny and myself.  Once we got home Ethan went straight to nap and my good friend Heather stopped by with some goodies.  Wine and a balloon!  How well she knows us 😉  The wine is yummy and the boys LOVE balloons.

When it was time for Ms. Heather to go pick up her own 2 sons, I asked her to follow me to Target so I could run in.  She did.  Then we went off to Daddy’s first home football game.  We had dinner at Carrabba’s, “Party of 5 please.”  WOW!  This will take some getting used to.  We were seated right away and dinner was yummy.  The boys were excellent at the football game, Ashton and Ethan were so amazing that we even spoiled them with a little ice cream for the ride home.  I finally made it home at 9:30pm, way past bed time, the older boys went straight to dreamland while Eli and I snuggled for another round of feedings.  I was so proud of all my boys.  They did amazing, considering it was our first day alone together, and I had them going all day long.

Saturday we woke up and decided to just relax.  Then around 3pm we decided we’d take the kids to the USF tailgate.  We didn’t think the older boys would be much fun for the game, so we thought the tailgate would be perfect.  Time to get out of the house, throw the football around, yell, scream, laugh, just good times.  Well all was perfect until we were told there is no more throwing of footballs at the tailgates.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  No throwing of ANY kind.  What are kids supposed to do?  Not to mention, it was so hot, we were literally soaked in our clothes.  Brutally hot.  But I really wanted to get out of the house, socialize with some friends, and just relax.  Thankfully, Daddy and the boys don’t mind sweating, so it was really just me who we needed to worry about, and well, I was having too much of a good time to worry about sweating a little.  LOL

Sunday morning I woke up and my Mom said she was heading out to Orlando to visit my Uncle and his family for their last day of their Disney vacation.  I wasn’t sure, at first, if we’d be able to make it, again, another challenge with 3 kids, dinner at 5:30pm, and an hour drive each way.  But, we DID it!!!  And I’m so happy we did.  We had a party of 17 people!  It was nice.  I haven’t seen my cousins Megan and Tommy since they were itty bitty.  I was in college doing my internship with Circuit City.  I was 20yrs old.  So 12yrs ago is the last time I seen them both.  Megan was about 5 or 6 and Tommy was 2 or 3.  WOW!  Have they grown up.  Megan is as tall as me, and gorgeous, and Tommy is BIGGER than me and he’s only 14yrs old.  GESH!!!!  How does that happen?  Are our boys going to grow that fast?  Oh dear, I hope not.  Better cherish these moments while I have them.  The boys were absolutely FANTASTIC.  Something we did not expect, but they were.  We were very proud of them.  That’s a long time to be trapped in carseats and dinner.

Aunt Robin, Uncle Vinnie, Tommy, and Megan

Monday we decided to do nothing.  Well, I mean, no leaving the house.  LOL.  Daddy and the boys pressure washed the porch and outside of the house while Mommy sat and snuggled Eli all morning long.  When Daddy came in, he helped me with cleaning the floors and moving furniture around to clean up crumbs…yuck!  But it’s done.  When we were finished Aunt Dana and Howie arrived and Dana took over the snuggle time with Eli.  Yesterday was a difficult day as he did not want to be put down for a minute.  I thought maybe he was getting GERD and maybe having tummy problems, he still may be, but I’m not 100% sure yet.  Ethan had it, and it was a nightmare until you can give them medicine.

Eli is now napping in his crib.  Let’s hope yesterdays 24hours need of being held was a fluke and it never happens again.  I love cuddle time, but I’m not that Mom.  I need rest myself and I need my house in order.  And now that Daddy’s back to work, I need my arms from time to time.  LOL.

naptime

And now that we are only about 7-8wks away from my biggest boy turning 5yo, I went ahead and booked his Bowling Alley birthday party today!  OMG.  He is almost 5yo!  I can hardly believe it.  I’ve been telling him for months, “Ashton, you’re almost 5yo’s.  5yo’s don’t do that, or do this, or blah blah blah.”  But now it’s time!  He is really almost 5yo.  YIKES!  So now I’m on the hunt of what to buy an almost 5yo.  It has to be educational.  So if you have a suggestion, let me know.  Until then, we’ll be brainstorming birthday party fun.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the random photos of Eli.

Almost 24hours old!

Last night I didn’t sleep.  Not because Eli was crying, but because Mama couldn’t stop staring at the last beautiful baby we will create.  It’s bittersweet, sure.  But I do not want to be pregnant again.  I want others to enjoy that.  Me, not so much.  I’m GREAT with the 4 little miracle boys me and my husband were blessed to have.  Now this doesn’t mean if God has other plans I would be upset, nope, not in the slightest.  All children are blessings.

Without further due, PHOTOS!!!!  Glorious photos.

Remember, I was VERY sick pre-baby…please forgive the appearance of myself.  I’m totally embarrassed of these pictures, but hey, we’ve all been sick, and we most certainly know that it is NO fun to be sick and then be pregnant and go into labor all at the same time.  So here goes….

Just found out after 4 hours of 2 1/2 min apart contractions, I’m STILL a 3.  Gesh, Eli, are you content or what?

Can you say HOTSPOT?  If you’ve had a baby and don’t know what a Hotspot is, count it as a blessing!!!

After 30seconds of gentle pushes, Elijah Joseph was welcomed into our world.

And Mama’s in love, all over again 😉

After a nice bath…he has skin like Ethan, straight hair like Ethan, but his hair color is all Ashton.  I wonder if he’ll favor one over the other or if he’ll just like our little Eli?  Time will tell.

Today was a new day.  I barely slept a wink last night.  Who could sleep when they could instead be awake cuddling a new bundle of joy.  I’d much rather kiss him all night then sleep.  But at 4am, my body told me that was enough acting like a college gal, up all hours of the night, and I drifted off to sleep.  Only to be woken over and over again by the amount of people that need to check, poke, and pry.  No fun, but it’s the name of the game.  By 7am when my Mom called to check on me, I was a complete mess and out of it.  At 8am T called and said he was almost here and again, I’m out of it.  It took everything in me to wake up.  I did it.  I ate breakfast and showered, and boy did that make me feel amazing 😉

Just as I finished getting dressed, look who shows up….

The Big Brother Security Team 😉  Ashton was over the moon excited to see his baby brother, Eli.  Ethan, not as happy.  In fact, he wanted nothing to do with Eli, or whoever was holding him.  Now that makes me sad.  But I know this will be over soon enough and he’ll love every moment of being a BIG BROTHER 😉

Ashton is loving EVERY minute of this being a big brother for a 2nd time business!  He wouldn’t let Eli out of his sight for one moment.  He wasn’t hyper, he was jumping around, he was calm as a cucumber, Ashton.  He is the Ashton that I remember having the first 3yrs of his life where I thought, he must be the best baby in the world.  That is until he began growing up and learning how to step out of the box.  LOL.

Ashton sings to his baby brother.  Nothing is more precious.

Ashton patiently awaiting his NEXT turn at holding Eli…while Howie (seen falling off the couch in picture above) and Ethan do this….

Then it occurs to me that MY BIG BROTHER, is here!  Holding my NEWBORN!  That’s never happened before.  Damn military…LOL….I’m kidding 😉

And since our boys had to leave with Grandma and Papa, Howie decided it would be nice to kiss on his new baby cousin.

And that is how we said bye-bye” to those related to us, today.  All our friends showed up next round!  What a busy day.  Daddy has just gone home.  The house needs to be disinfected before Elijah and I can come home tomorrow, and Elijah is asking for Mommy to either hold him or feed him.  Either way, it’s time to snuggle.  And I’m in desperate need of a nap.  Yes, at 6:15pm, it will only be a nap.  I’ll be up all night again, I’m sure of it.

First day of school…

Ashton went back to school today.  Of course I had to bust out in song from Grease, Back to School….AGAIN.  Love it.  He laughed at me the whole way to his first day.

I told Ashton I had to get a 1st day photo, his response, “In front of the cross, Mom.  In front of the cross.”  Ok, dude, I got it.  You’re in front of the cross and I’m glad to know the cross, Jesus, is important to you 😉

He was super excited to see all his friends again.  He gave me the entire day, play by play.  He had the best time.  Playing with Maier, Maisi, and of course, Princess Bella.  He also met one new little boy, Joshua.  He seems to really take a liking to this Joshua, so I hope he likes Ashton just as much 😉

I tried posting a photo of my BIG BOY off to his first day in Early Childhood 4yo’s, but for some reason, I’m having issues with wordpress.  Stay tuned.  I’m working on it.  Sure would suck if I don’t get this problem fixed and I have a baby in the near future.  Some of you would blow my phone up until I sent you a photo.  YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE 🙂

PROBLEM SOLVED!  Must have been a wordpress update going on.

And for the curious minds…I had a pregnancy photo shoot last week on Monday.  I was 37.2wks pregnant.  I really wasn’t feeling this photo shoot.  Did NOT want to do it.  But Sunday morning when I woke up, I made the appointment.  Figuring, I’d totally regret if I didn’t do this.  So here is what we got.  Not great, but not bad.

Next up, a family of 5 photo shoot.  Probably around Christmas time.  That is the last time we had one.  Just days before we found out we were expecting this little guy in my belly 😉
